"Treat as a Single Row:  2nd Left, Mrs Margaret Jane Archer, Meggie to her Family;  3rd Left, Mrs Bishop, who lived 2 doors away.
Meggie moved from Gateshead in 1931 when her husband Joe Archer was offered work as a Miner at Washington 'F' Pit.
The family lived at 72, The Oval.  In 1942, son Joe joined the Home Guard stationed at Blackfell Army Camp."
