The Bridges at the Bottom of Washington Station Road.
1. The Leamside Line - Newcastle to London
2. Tyne Dock to Consett Iron Works
Straight ahead for Cox Green, Washington Staithes and the River Wear.
Turn left, immediately beyond The Bridges for Pattinson Town.
Turn right before The Bridges for the Railway Station.
Washington Chemical Works occupied a huge area between these railway lines and the River Wear.

Straight down to Washington Staithes and the River Wear. Left, following the wooden fence, to Pattinson Town.

This Train has just crossed the Leamside Line Bridge over Washington Station Road - where the tracks disappear.
Washington Station from the Long Footbridge that crossed all the railway tracks and led to Washington Staithes.
The Leamside Line is on the left and the 'Tyne Dock to Consett' Line is on the right.
