We'll now turn left from Victoria Road and head West up Blue House Lane.

Washington 'F' Colliery ' Landsale '

Sited between Washington Brickworks and the ' Pit Road Ends '..
Coal left the Colliery by Train along the Washington Wagonway to The Leamside Line at Washington Station.
This is where coal left by lorry.   The 'Dales Housing Estate' is off-picture, right.

The ' Pit Road Ends '

A little further West of the Brickworks - where the 'F' Pit Road joins Blue House Lane.
Note the Winding Engine House - today's Washington 'F' Pit Museum.
The Old Colliery Road is now called Albany Way.

Continue up the Bank to 'Blue House' and Havannah Terrace.
