WILLIAM GILL

My Grandfather, James Gill had 3 sons.  James (My Dad), William (Billy) and John (Jacky) - 'F' Pit Lorry Driver, Overman & Miner, respectively.
My Great-Grandfather, Matthew Gill of Great Usworth, had 2 sons.  The eldest was William and the youngest was my Grandfather, James.
My Great-Great Grandfather, George Gill, also had 2 sons.  The eldest was William and the youngest was my Great-Grandfather, Matthew.

William Gill, mentioned in the above Directory, would have been an adult in 1834 when my Great-Great-Grandfather was a very small boy.
This does not preclude William from being a more distant Member of My Family, albeit a generation or two further back.  Interesting!  { Jim }
