VILLAGE LANE - 39 BUS / SPOUT LANE - CROSS KEYS - WAR MEMORIAL
The Sunderland District Omnibus No 39, based at Philadelphia, made frequent return journeys between
Newcastle Upon Tyne and Easington - via Penshaw, Houghton-le-Spring and Easington Lane.
It was the second most famous Bus in Washington! We oldies all known the most famous, don't we?
